Publish Knowledge Base
|
|
|
|
-
To publish a Knowledge Base for a particular Issue Tracker project, you
first select the topic and the sub-topic that will display the data in a
hierarchical manner. Although the topic is
mandatory, the subtopic is optional, and should be different from the topic.
-
Select the fields to be shown in the details window of the Knowledge
Base. Note that the title field and the primary description field
will always be shown; the check boxes for these fields
are disabled and checked by default. To hide internal details from
the Knowledge Base user, you can leave certain fields unchecked so that they
will not display.
-
You can set up URLs for the top frame, homepage, and search frame.
These URLs allow the Knowledge Base creator to customize and/or brand it with
custom markup such as logos or additional instructions. If these fields
are left empty, OfficeClip's logo will be shown by default.
-
Specify a single filter for the Knowledge Base. . Type the case-sensitive
filter into the Contains textbox. Certain cases can be
restricted, for example, you can create a tracker field with a
Yes/No answer and then save in each case with the Yes/No field
set. The filter can then be set to only publish cases that are
marked "Yes".
-
Select whether cases should appear in HTML format(if the case was entered using
HTML markup) or in text format, which is stripped of any HTML
formatting. Please note that tracker case descriptions must be
entered in HTML format in order to be viewed in HTML.
-
Finally, choose Click to Generate HTML Code.
-
The rendered HTML code can be previewed. If you are satisfied with the
result, copy the HTML in the large textbox and paste it into your website.
